The Half Moon Theatre Internship Program is committed to training future generations of theater professionals. Applicants should be highly motivated individuals who have acquired basic training in the theater arts and are looking to explore their field further through meaningful hands-on experience. Half Moon Theatre interns are integral members of the staff and can expect to be challenged by a creative process that relies on both ingenuity and collaboration.
Interns at Half Moon Theatre work with leading designers, directors, administrators, and our professional production team throughout the season. They leave with a greater knowledge of the theatrical process and the satisfaction of being part of a dedicated theater company where exceptional quality and service to the community are the end goals.
Production Internships are typically available from September through December and February through May. Days and hours may vary. Interns should have a strong interest and background in the arts and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
To be eligible you must be a current or graduating college student.
Scene Shop Internships
Based on interest, interns will work along side carpenters, welders, electricians, props artisans, and painters in the GLTF scene shop. A basic knowledge of carpentry and technical theatre is required.
Interns will work with stage management and production management on all aspects of the production process. Applicants must have proficient computer skills and an interest in pursing a career in stage management or arts administration.
