Dutchess Divas 2011

Dutchess Divas, Half Moon Theatre Company

Dutchess Divas! has quickly become the signature benefit for Half Moon Theatre. Now in its third season, the event has received rave reviews from Dutchess County audiences. Half Moon Theatre transforms the space, this year at Villa Borghese, into a dimly lit cabaret with echoes of yesteryear. Celebrated local singers regale the audience with musical favorites from opera to show tunes to American standards.

The evening begins as you are met at the door with a signature cocktail. This is followed by a course of delectable hors d’oevres paired with sumptuous wines. An elegant dinner and dessert round off the gastronomic portion of the evening.

Enjoy our exciting live auction with unparalleled opportunities such as a week getaway to a luxury lake-front home on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee; an exlusive tour of the David Yurman jewelry house on Madison Avenue (with a surprise jewelry gift!) followed by lunch at Bistro Chat Noir (22 East 66th Street); and four house seats to the amazing new Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (starring Daniel Radcliffe!) followed by a backstage tour.

All of this is topped by the eagerly anticipated performance. World class singers and actresses who call the Hudson Valley home regale the audience with musical favorites from opera, show tunes and American standards. The show is performed with great humor and fun, roasting the season’s sponsors and local businesses that so generously support us. It is a unique way to advertise your business to an exclusive audience of community leaders and entrepreneurs.

So, leave the Dow at the door, forget your troubles, and cheer as the Divas strut the runway á la Marilyn, Madonna and Maria Callas. It’s a benefit like none other!
